Qatar National Music Competition

Prizes

In general:

Each candidate will receive a certificate of participation.

There will be medals for the first three winners in every category.

Prizes:

Vodafone Grand Prize for the best overall performance.

Qatar’s Best Award provided by the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science.

Concerto Prize: the 3 winners of the concerto category will be granted a concert as a soloist with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra 

Selected prize winners will be able to record in the Katara Studios, one of the best studios in the world. 

A brand new guitar for the best guitar player provided by Manuel Rodríguez Guitarras.

  • the Swiss Ambassador’s Award
  • the Singapore Ambassador’s Award for the best Singaporean performer provided by the Embassy of Singapore
  • the Andres Segovia Award for the best guitar performance provided by the Spanish Embassy
  • Bach Award for the best performance of a German composition provided by the German Embassy
  • Ravel Award for the best performance of a French composition provided by the French Embassy
  • Tchaikovsky Award for the best performance of a Russian composition by a Russian performer provided by the Russian Embassy
  • Britten Award for the best performer from the UK provided by the British Embassy
  • Arirang Award for the most courageous performance provided by the Korean Embassy
  • Virtuoso Award for the most virtuosic performance provided by the Indian embassy
  • Emotion Award for the most emotional performance provided by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands
  • Best Stage Presence Award provided by the Swedish Embassy
  • Queen Elisabeth Award for the best cellist provided by the Belgian Embassy
  • Encouragement award for the most promising young performer provided by the Embassy of Kazakhstan
  • the Indonesian Ambassador’s Award for the best Indonesian performer
